They used to be such a wonderful and caring vet. But then they got a little too full of themselves. This is why we switched vets. However the day before Thanksgiving we had an emergency issue and our vet was closed and we had to go here. We wound up putting our beloved Sheltie of 13 years down. There once was a time where they would call you, or send you a note afterwards. Nothing. They were all about the ESTIMATES and the UPFRONT PAYMENT before they would even talk about care or options. I was not thrilled with the bedside manner of our vet and the staff. They were clinical, not personable. I understand becoming hardened toward these situations, but I felt like they really cared more about how I was going to pay than the loss my family was about to endure. The two go hand in hand and if they could be as good at the compassion end as they are the technical, they would be much more successful and get a much higher rating from me.
I train dogs and work with troubled behaviors as well as aggression issues. I had to pick up a dog in crisis that they were boarding temporarily. The dog was difficult and would only let one or two people close enough to feed and air him. Despite this difficulty in his personality the staff was very professional and helpful. They were instrumental in giving me input that helped me avoid some of the dogs triggers and made the transition to my care go much easier. This is a well-trained thoughtful and caring staff. People who couldn't even get close to the dog were able to provide vital insights that helped me tremendously. At the moment the dog is doing fine and progressing well towards his socialization and being coming adoptable so that he may find a forever home very soon.
The staff and veterinarians at the Animal Care Center of Plainfield. Have always treated me and my animals like family. The staff is very kind, caring compassionate and . No matter if you're there for just an annual checkup and shots or if unfortunately you have to take your four legged baby there to cross the Rainbow Bridge. You never need an appointment but appointments are suggested. The new Remodel and their looks great the wood floors are beautiful. The individual private rooms have nice little benches in them for you to sit in an exam table while the veterinarian is been there examining your animal. What I love most about the Animal Care Center is that they're open 24 hours a day 365 days a year just like a real Hospital I know that they're always there a phone call away in case something happens to my fur baby I can just call them up. They also have a vet that will come to your home too. I highly suggest the Animal Care Center of Plainfield or one of their associate clinics.
We've been customers of the Animal Care Center of Plainfield for five years now, and they have provided the highest level of care for our dogs for all that time. The office is clean and well organized, and staffed by wonderful doctors and support staff. We've used their grooming services, boarding and daycare, and had a great experience with it all. We have recently moved out of Plainfield, but we continue to bring our dogs here for their care. Wouldn't trust anyone else!!
I absolutely love Animal Care Center of Plainfield. Service is always prompt and the staff is incredible. They are kind and compassionate. They vets that come in are thorough and take the time to explain and answer all questions. I never feel as though they are rushed even when the clinic is clearly busy. Follow-up calls always come when they say they will. I pass many vets on my way to Animal Care Center but it is worth the extra drive to know that we will receive the notch service.
